A few details about the project:
Softrack Mousepads are a promotional product that are offered with your custom images for trade shows and events. Light jQuery effects like a rotator on the homepage and a gallery lightbox give the website the modern feel it needs. I cut and sliced PDFs to exact specs and hand-coded HTML with optimized images for web-view.

A few details about the project:
Working closely with Smarilli Marketing Group, I’ve sliced and diced the PDFs into a XHTML compliant website with newer jQuery stylization techniques. Also worked with the developers to get a firm understanding of JSP technologies as well as the Google Map API to plot testimonials on the map. Not pictured are other promotional items that were completed for trade shows.

A few details about the project:
A dual cd-release show for two Nashville bands, and a headliner for a show in April. Utilizing vibrant yellow and black on a dirty grunge background, the indie style of music is reflected in the composition of the work. Juxtaposed and massively bolded text really draw viewers to the poster.

A few details about the project:
StiffsNotes is a fictitious company dedicated to providing insight to life’s poor decision making. The two books I’ve created involve stereotypes of common college folk and their dating rituals. It is meant to bring smiles to faces, not wipe them off. The books are funny, thought-provoking, and partially true. Each contains 22-25 types of personalities. One book male, one book female, and are being raffled off on the website I’ve created to market the site.

You may notice a resemblance to CliffsNotes, and that was intentional, but not to violate any copyrights. It’s an iconic cover for helpful tips, and I felt it was appropriate to mirror that for this book series. The typography is solid, but tacky looking, and the website reflects that as well.

A few details about the project:
This project illustrates Mr. Carlin’s life in a bold, fun, and in-depth manner. The most eye-catching feature of the poster would be the mouth formed with brackets and parenthesis, and text blocks for teeth. This is symbolic for his facial hair later down the line in his career. All text is set in Univers (minus the text in his “beard” which is Bebas) and varying weights are utilized to demonstrate hierarchy in design and bring out the most important events in his lifetime. In the background you may have noticed some naughty words. The first seven naughty words that were not allowed to be said on TV or radio. Overall, the project encompasses a lot of data, and the challenge was to show that in an interesting fashion.

A few details about the project:
The York Review is an annual college publication showcasing the latest in literary arts around campus. A juried staff hand picks the works. I was responsible for both the publication design (120 page book), and the WordPress theme for the website.

Download my first Fontstruction, created during my Typography I class at York College. A full character set, with 98 glyphs – you’ll be typing in no time. It’s very mechanical, and modular. It’s monospaced, so you won’t have to kern anything, it will always look great. The gray text block reads as follows:

Step into the future, unleash your inner extra-terrestrial and venture into the abyss. A monospaced miracle, you’ll be setting and forgetting in no time at all. Leave your warp drives at home – this font is so efficient, even factories cannot keep up with its production. A full character set on the US keyboard, supreme beings will take full advantage of its versatility. Using your optical receptors, you’ll find that this typeface is extra tall and skinny, just like the goon who designed it. Best set in abnormally large sizes – preferably ones that exceed your IQ. Based off of a cereal box game, these letterforms will satisfy your taste buds and pick your brain, just like the aliens will do upon abduction. Designed for you, with the future in mind. Design.
